How to Customize the Shopify Customer Login Page
What you will achieve in this guide
Follow the feature-specific setup and testing instructions below. Check the supported pages and plan requirements before activating the feature.
Rivio’s advanced branding module adjusts checkout colors, corner radius, typography, and supported account/sign-in appearance on Shopify Plus.
How this feature works
Sign-in appearance settings control the supported page, primary button, and card styling. They affect presentation, not who can authenticate or how the account login process works.
Before you begin
Use an eligible Shopify Plus store. Open Apps > Rivio Checkout Customizer and check the feature’s listed supported page. For a visual feature, configure it in Rivio and save its matching editor placement.
Worked example: Style account and sign-in pages consistently
Example setup: Shopify Plus; current customer accounts; intended brand colors.
Step-by-step instructions
Open Checkout branding and its Customer accounts section.
For Sign-in page, adjust the supported background/text, primary button colors, and card corners/shadow.
Use a readable palette, for example a white background with dark navy text and a dark navy button with white text.
Save, then open the signed-out customer sign-in page. Check the page background, primary button, and card appearance.
Test on a phone, then complete sign-in to confirm the ordinary authentication flow still works.
Verify the result
| Test case | Expected result or verification |
|---|---|
| Signed-out sign-in page | The supported sign-in styling appears. |
| Authentication | Styling does not change login eligibility or authentication. |
Important: These controls change appearance, not authentication, account eligibility, or order permissions. In the article about login, focus on the signed-out sign-in view.
If the result is different
| Check | What it means / what to do |
|---|---|
| Changes not visible | Check the saved value and the checkout configuration the shopper actually uses. |
| Wrong area changed | Review main/order-summary schemes and checkout versus account/sign-in settings separately. |
| Text is difficult to read | Test the affected controls, long labels, and error states on desktop and a phone before saving further changes. |
