How to Add Trust Badges to Shopify Customer Account Pages
What you will achieve in this guide
Follow the feature-specific setup and testing instructions below. Check the supported pages and plan requirements before activating the feature.
Rivio extends Shopify customer accounts with Buy again, profile fields, supported content blocks, and advanced styling.
How this feature works
Configure accurate preset or custom trust badges for the supported Profile surface. Badge display is separate from payment-provider availability or certification.
Before you begin
Use Shopify’s current supported customer accounts and a signed-in test customer. For order-related features, use a customer with a past order. Select the exact Profile, Orders, or Order status placement supported by the feature.
Worked example: Show accurate reassurance on account Profile
Example setup: Current customer accounts and approved preset or custom badges.
Step-by-step instructions
Open UI extension blocks and find Trust badges. Check the supported pages on its card.
Choose Set up or Manage and create a configuration with a clear internal name.
Choose a trust-badge configuration supporting Profile.
Select accurate presets or custom merchant images; avoid claims your store cannot substantiate.
Adjust supported size, alignment, and spacing.
Review the preview and any display conditions. For the first demo, leave optional conditions empty so you can isolate placement.
Save as Active. Open the Checkout and Accounts Editor, select the intended configuration and Profile page, and add the matching Rivio block in a supported location.
Select the saved configuration if prompted and save Shopify’s editor. Test the actual customer page on desktop and a phone.
Verify the result
| Test case | Expected result or verification |
|---|---|
| Signed-in Profile | The saved badge content appears. |
| Phone Profile | Badge text remains readable. |
| Badge displayed | It does not enable a payment provider or certify the store. |
Important: Only Customer, Language, Market, and Time on page conditions are evaluated on Profile.
If the result is different
| Check | What it means / what to do |
|---|---|
| Account feature is missing | Confirm current supported customer accounts, the matching page/action placement, and saved feature state. |
| Customer field value seems missing | Use the same signed-in customer and check the customer metafield rather than order attributes. |
| Buy Again price differs from the old order | The new cart uses current availability, pricing, discounts, and checkout rules. |
Check page-specific data
Customer-tag conditions require logged-in customer context. Selected shipping method is unavailable on Order status. Days since order is available only on Thank you/Order status. On Profile, only Customer, Language, Market, and Time on page conditions are evaluated; cart/order conditions are ignored.
