Rivio Checkout Block Configured but Not Detected in Shopify Checkout Editor
What you will achieve in this guide
Follow the feature-specific setup and testing instructions below. Check the supported pages and plan requirements before activating the feature.
Configured means Rivio has a saved setup. Detected in editor is separate placement information. Confirm the matching block on the intended page and save the editor before checking customer visibility.
How this feature works
Identify the affected feature and customer surface before changing settings. Function-based rules need activation and matching inputs; visual features also need a saved editor placement. Branding needs the correct configuration. Change one setting at a time and repeat the same test to see which change solves the issue.
Before you begin
Open Apps > Rivio Checkout Customizer in the intended store. Prepare the cart, customer, products, address, or order needed by the example, and check the feature’s supported inputs before activating it.
Worked example: Find a missing editor placement
Example setup: A saved active banner that is not showing for customers.
Troubleshooting steps
Open UI extension blocks and locate the banner; check Configured and Detected in editor separately.
Open Shopify Settings > Checkout > Customize for the configuration your store uses.
Select the exact page where the banner is intended. Check its block list, not just the visual preview.
If the matching Rivio block is missing, add it in a supported location and select the saved configuration if prompted.
Save Shopify’s editor, reopen the page, and check the configuration’s detection status again.
If placement is present, inspect Active status and display conditions, then use a matching actual checkout or order.
Verify the result
| Test case | Expected result or verification |
|---|---|
| Configured but missing from the selected page | Add and save the matching editor block. |
| Block present but condition does not match | Correct the test context or intended condition; adding another copy will not solve it. |
If the result is different
| Check | What it means / what to do |
|---|---|
| Function-based rule is ineffective | Check activation, exact scope, conditions, and test inputs. |
| Visual block is missing | Check saved Active configuration, supported surface, and editor placement. |
| Problem remains after one correction | Gather the actual customer result, relevant settings, and repeatable cart/order details for support. |
