Does Rivio Checkout Customizer Leave Code Behind After Uninstalling the Shopify App?

Rivio’s official setup does not require injected storefront theme snippets that you must manually remove. After uninstall, app-powered functionality is unavailable; review saved layouts and separately created Shopify records.
Before you begin
Use the intended Shopify store and an admin account with permission to manage its apps. Record any settings you need before uninstalling.
Worked example: Review the storefront after removing the app
Example setup: A demo store with recorded Rivio settings before uninstall.
Step-by-step instructions
Record the app-powered surfaces and store records used by your setup.
Uninstall through Shopify’s Apps and sales channels settings.
Open the checkout/account pages where Rivio features were used and review the saved layouts.
Check merchant-owned products, historical orders, and any Shopify records you created separately; uninstall does not mean those should be deleted.
If you later reinstall, retest every intended configuration rather than assuming prior app data is recoverable.
Verify the result

Important: Review the uninstall guide for shop/redact timing; avoid promising an exact deletion time or recovery of old settings.
If the result is different

App data after uninstall
Shopify sends shop/redact no earlier than 48 hours after uninstall. Rivio deletes its stored shop data when that request is received. Reinstalling before the request can prevent the uninstall redaction event. This is not a guarantee of deletion at exactly 48 hours or recovery of previous settings.
