Complete the Setup Guide
If you're using Rivio Checkout Customizer for the first time, the Setup guide is the best place to start.
It walks you through five common ways to start using the app.
1. Place your first block in the checkout editor
Choose a Rivio Checkout Customizer block, configure it, and then add it to the appropriate location using the Shopify Checkout Editor.
This is a good starting point if you want to add content or functionality directly to checkout.

2. Create a payment or shipping rule
Customize how payment or shipping methods are presented to customers.
Depending on the feature, you can create rules to:
- Hide methods
- Rename methods
- Reorder methods
- Apply specific conditions
For example, you could hide a particular payment method only when specific checkout conditions are met.
3. Launch your first offer
Use Rivio Checkout Customizer's sales and promotion features to create experiences designed to increase order value.
Depending on the feature you choose, you can configure upsells, gifts, bundles, discounts, and other offers.
4. Protect checkout with a validation rule
Create checkout validation rules to prevent customers from completing checkout when your specified requirements aren't met.
This can be useful when you need to enforce specific requirements based on the customer's cart or checkout.
5. Brand your checkout
Customize supported checkout branding elements to create a checkout experience that better matches your store.
Note: Checkout branding and certain other checkout customization capabilities require Shopify Plus.
