How to Add Section Headers to a Form
What you will achieve in this guide
Follow this step-by-step documentation to configure custom B2B registration forms, approval workflows, and customer tagging.
Use Section header for a visible heading that introduces a group of questions. This guide explains setup, a practical example, and how to check the result on your Shopify storefront.
When to use it
Choose this type when you need a visible heading that introduces a group of questions. It organizes the form and does not collect an answer.
Before you begin
Open the intended form in Rivio B2B Registration Forms and confirm its name and storefront slug. Inspect template fields and smart-block sub-fields so you do not ask for the same information twice. Use dummy details for your first test.
Set up Section header
In the form builder, select Add field and choose Section header.
Expand its settings and enter a clear label or heading, such as Business details.
Add the header at the point where the topic changes. Use a short descriptive title and drag it before its related questions. Review the form’s typography and spacing instead of adding empty input questions as separators.
Drag the element into the intended position. If the form uses steps, review its assigned step.
Select Save, preview the form, and confirm the actual storefront page loads this saved form’s slug.
Example
Question or content: Business details
Example: Business details above business-name and address questions
Adapt this example to the information your team needs. Keep it as supporting content beside the real questions.
Test and expected result
Preview the whole form and inspect the heading on mobile. Complete a test to confirm the related questions are still understandable and required inputs remain visible.
Expected result: the content appears in the right position and applicants can complete the surrounding questions without confusion.
Limitations and important behavior
A Section header is display content, not an applicant answer or an approval-condition value. It does not create a new step; multi-step configuration is separate.
Troubleshooting
If you expected a new page, configure multi-step layout instead. If the heading is confusing, rename it to describe the questions that follow and remove duplicate titles from nearby explanatory blocks.
