How to Reconnect or Disconnect Google Sheets
What you will achieve in this guide
Follow this step-by-step documentation to configure custom B2B registration forms, approval workflows, and customer tagging.
Reconnect old Google Sheets authorizations to drive.file, or disconnect the integration and revoke its Google access.
Before you begin
Use the intended service account and select the destination list, channel, spreadsheet tab, or endpoint. Decide whether you are testing a new-submission event or an approval event, and use a clearly identifiable test application.
Replace old authorization or revoke access
Merchants on the old spreadsheets scope see a reconnect banner. Reconnect grants the current drive.file access, after which you should review the selected spreadsheet and tab and test new data.
Disconnect Google removes the connection and revokes the app's access on Google's side. Reconnecting is necessary before future sync can resume. Do not assume this deletes an existing spreadsheet or replays all historical applications.
Set up this workflow
Open Google Sheets settings and review any reconnect banner.
If the connection still uses the old scope, start Reconnect Google.
Authorize the current drive.file access and select or create the intended spreadsheet.
Review the sync tab, save, and test a new submission.
When retiring the connection, use Disconnect Google in the integration.
Confirm the app no longer shows an active connection; reconnect before expecting future syncs.
Example
If an old-scope banner appears, reconnect with drive.file and select the intended destination. Test a new application, then disconnect on a disposable connection.
Expected result
Reconnection restores the configured sync and Disconnect revokes the app's Google access.
Limits and important behavior
- Disconnecting now also revokes the app’s access on Google’s side.
- Old-scope merchants should follow the reconnect banner rather than assuming their connection has migrated automatically.
- Disconnecting does not imply that the spreadsheet or previously written rows are deleted.
Troubleshooting and verification
If a reconnect banner persists, complete the new authorization and reselect the intended file and tab. Disconnect revokes Google access; reconnect before expecting future rows. Disconnecting does not remove rows already written to the spreadsheet.

Show the controls used to open Google Sheets settings and review any reconnect banner. Add a second screenshot showing the result of this check: Confirm the app no longer shows an active connection; reconnect before expecting future syncs. Use dummy applicant details and mask any secrets.
