How to Connect GetResponse

What you will achieve in this guide

Follow this step-by-step documentation to configure custom B2B registration forms, approval workflows, and customer tagging.

EXPECTED SETUP TIME 5-10 Minutes
COMPATIBILITY All Shopify Themes & Plans
TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY Zero Code Required

Connect GetResponse to Shopify registration forms so applicant information can reach your email-marketing workflow.

Before you begin

Use the intended service account and select the destination list, channel, spreadsheet tab, or endpoint. Decide whether you are testing a new-submission event or an approval event, and use a clearly identifiable test application.

Campaign/list placement

GetResponse receives the applicant into the configured campaign or list. Use the destination requested in the app settings and a form containing an applicant email.

After the test, inspect the contact in that destination rather than relying only on a successful Save message. Marketing campaign behavior is configured in GetResponse separately from the app connection.

Set up this workflow

  1. Open Integrations and select GetResponse.

  2. Use an authorized GetResponse account to obtain the credentials requested by the app.

  3. Enter the API key or connection credentials in the integration settings.

  4. Set the campaign or list destination using its required identifier where applicable.

  5. Save the connection and submit a non-spam test containing an applicant email.

  6. Check GetResponse for the expected subscriber and test a supported approval event if your workflow uses it.

Example

Select a test GetResponse campaign/list and submit an application with an email you control.

Expected result

The contact appears in the intended destination.

Limits and important behavior

  • Adds the applicant to the selected campaign/list.
  • The form must provide an email through an Email field or Customer block.
  • Review consent and subscription requirements for your marketing workflow.
  • Keep integration credentials private; background failures should be investigated without resubmitting approvals blindly.

Troubleshooting and verification

If data does not reach the destination, confirm the application exists and is not Spam, then check the connection, event, and selected destination. Email-marketing services need an applicant email. Background failures do not undo a received submission.

Screenshots to add

Screenshot placeholder: Capture the relevant app screen for “How to Connect GetResponse” after completing the setup. Show the controls used to open Integrations and select GetResponse. Add a second screenshot showing the result of this check: Check GetResponse for the expected subscriber and test a supported approval event if your workflow uses it. Use dummy applicant details and mask any secrets.
