How to Create a New Spreadsheet for Submission Sync

What you will achieve in this guide

Follow this step-by-step documentation to configure custom B2B registration forms, approval workflows, and customer tagging.

EXPECTED SETUP TIME 5-10 Minutes
COMPATIBILITY All Shopify Themes & Plans
TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY Zero Code Required

Create a Google spreadsheet from Rivio B2B Registration Forms and connect it to your Shopify application workflow.

Before you begin

Use the intended service account and select the destination list, channel, spreadsheet tab, or endpoint. Decide whether you are testing a new-submission event or an approval event, and use a clearly identifiable test application.

Create and connect in one workflow

Create new spreadsheet lets the app create a sheet in the connected merchant's Google Drive and connect it for syncing. This avoids searching for or manually supplying an existing sheet identifier.

Confirm that the connected Google account is the account intended to own the sheet. Choose the destination tab and use the displayed link to inspect a fresh submission row after saving.

Set up this workflow

  1. Open Integrations → Google Sheets.

  2. Connect the Google account that should own the spreadsheet if it is not connected.

  3. Select Create new spreadsheet.

  4. Review the spreadsheet created in that merchant’s Google Drive.

  5. Choose the tab to receive synced application rows and save.

  6. Open the displayed spreadsheet link and confirm a new test submission appears in the chosen tab.

Example

Use Create new spreadsheet from the Google Sheets integration, select the destination tab, and submit a dummy application.

Expected result

The sheet is created in the connected merchant's Drive and the test row appears in the chosen tab.

Limits and important behavior

  • Verify the Google account before creating the file.
  • Creating a sheet and selecting a sync tab are separate from changing the form’s approval policy.
  • Do not assume historical applications are backfilled unless the app explicitly offers that operation.

Troubleshooting and verification

If data does not reach the destination, confirm the application exists and is not Spam, then check the connection, event, and selected destination. Email-marketing services need an applicant email. Background failures do not undo a received submission.

Show the controls used to open Integrations → Google Sheets. Add a second screenshot showing the result of this check: Open the displayed spreadsheet link and confirm a new test submission appears in the chosen tab. Use dummy applicant details and mask any secrets.
