How to Connect Klaviyo
What you will achieve in this guide
Follow this step-by-step documentation to configure custom B2B registration forms, approval workflows, and customer tagging.
Connect Klaviyo to Shopify registration forms so applicant information can reach your email-marketing workflow.
Before you begin
Use the intended service account and select the destination list, channel, spreadsheet tab, or endpoint. Decide whether you are testing a new-submission event or an approval event, and use a clearly identifiable test application.
Choose the intended Klaviyo list
The integration adds an applicant as a subscribed profile to the configured list. Use the credentials and destination identifier requested in the current integration screen, and collect an Email field or Customer contact block.
Check the selected list as well as the profile, since finding a profile alone does not prove the correct placement. The app's sync is not a promise that a particular Klaviyo campaign or automation has sent.
Set up this workflow
Open Integrations and select Klaviyo.
Use an authorized Klaviyo account to obtain the credentials requested by the app.
Enter the API key or connection credentials in the integration settings.
Set the list destination using its required identifier where applicable.
Save the connection and submit a non-spam test containing an applicant email.
Check Klaviyo for the expected subscriber and test a supported approval event if your workflow uses it.
Example
Select a test Klaviyo list, connect it, and submit a form containing a valid email you control. Inspect the profile and list after the relevant event.
Expected result
The intended applicant reaches the configured list; test list membership and profile data rather than assuming an email campaign was sent.
Limits and important behavior
- Adds the applicant to the selected list as subscribed.
- The form must provide an email through an Email field or Customer block.
- Review consent and subscription requirements for your marketing workflow.
- Keep integration credentials private; background failures should be investigated without resubmitting approvals blindly.
Troubleshooting and verification
If data does not reach the destination, confirm the application exists and is not Spam, then check the connection, event, and selected destination. Email-marketing services need an applicant email. Background failures do not undo a received submission.

Add a second screenshot showing the result of this check: Check Klaviyo for the expected subscriber and test a supported approval event if your workflow uses it. Use dummy applicant details and mask any secrets.
