Why Are My Form Changes Not Showing?
What you will achieve in this guide
Follow this step-by-step documentation to configure custom B2B registration forms, approval workflows, and customer tagging.
Check the saved form, current slug, theme, and shared appearance settings when registration updates seem missing.
Before you begin
Record the affected store, form name, slug, application reference if available, and approximate time. Reproduce the issue once with dummy data and note the exact message before changing settings.
Find which version the page is loading
The builder can show unsaved edits, and a theme block can point to a duplicate or old slug. Compare the edited form's slug with the storefront block before assuming browser caching is the cause.
Save both the form and the relevant settings page. For placement changes, save the theme too. A shared form's appearance changes can affect all its placements; a duplicate is a separate form.
Reference and examples
| Check | What to do |
|---|---|
| Unsaved builder/settings edits | Save the changed page explicitly. |
| Wrong duplicate | Compare the edited form slug with the block. |
| Old slug | Update the affected blocks. |
| Different theme/template | Save the theme and page template actually used by the storefront. |
Diagnose and resolve the problem
Open the form you edited and confirm its name and slug.
Check whether the builder still shows unsaved changes.
Select Save in the builder and relevant settings page.
Check the page’s block points to that form rather than a duplicate.
Save the intended theme configuration.
Open the storefront again and verify the specific updated field or style.
Example
Create a duplicate form and accidentally point the demo block to its slug. Compare the block slug with the form you edited.
Expected result
The page displays the revised wording once it references the intended saved form.
Limits and important behavior
- The builder does not autosave every experimental change.
- Appearance settings apply wherever the same form is used.
- Changing a duplicate does not update the original.
If you still need help
If the checks do not resolve the issue, contact support@rivioapps.com with the affected form or application reference, time, exact error, and what you already tested. Mask private applicant data and never include API keys or SMTP passwords.
Screenshots to add
Screenshot placeholder: Capture the relevant app screen for “Why Are My Form Changes Not Showing?” after completing the setup. Show the controls used to open the form you edited and confirm its name and slug. Add a second screenshot showing the result of this check: Open the storefront again and verify the specific updated field or style. Use dummy applicant details and mask any secrets.
