Customize the Success screen
Use completion wording that accurately describes the step the shopper has reached.
Before you start
Open Settings → Success in your store. Use the current saved configuration and a controlled test cart. For storefront features, confirm the Rivio theme app embed is enabled on the theme being tested.
Step-by-step instructions
- Open Settings → Success.
- Review the available completion heading, description and action labels.
- Write a clear next action using the controls provided.
- Avoid saying the full order is paid if the journey can include a deposit or pure COD.
- Save and review the preview.
- Complete a test journey and inspect where the shopper goes next.
Screenshot to add: Settings → Success — show the relevant settings described above. Hide customer details, contact blocklists and verification codes.
Example and use case
Use wording that guides the customer to the next checkout action rather than claiming the order has been delivered or fully paid.
Limitations and important behaviour
- A success message is not evidence of a payment settlement or fulfilment.
- The preview does not establish when Shopify creates the order.
- Do not promise automatic order-confirmation messaging outside the features shown.
Test and confirm the result
Test the screen with your configured payment journey and confirm the message matches the actual next destination.
Save configuration changes before testing. A settings preview confirms presentation; inspect the storefront, checkout or Shopify order for the actual outcome described in this guide.
