How to Use the Quote Request Template
What you will achieve in this guide
Follow this step-by-step documentation to configure custom B2B registration forms, approval workflows, and customer tagging.
Use the Quote Request template in Rivio B2B Registration Forms to collect Shopify applications from buyers requesting a bulk-order or custom quotation.
Before you begin
Choose the template that matches your audience, then inspect its questions, approval tags, and company-creation defaults. Decide which information your reviewer actually needs before adding more required questions.
Collect the information needed to prepare a quote
A Quote Request form can ask for products, quantity, business/contact details, and requirements so your team can prepare a commercial response. Use Number for quantities you may compare in review rules and help text for units or minimums.
The form does not calculate checkout pricing, create an order, or collect payment. A quote request is received as a submission; your team handles the quote and later selling workflow separately.
Set up this workflow
Open the app Templates page.
Find Quote Request and review its purpose.
Select Use template to open the generated form.
Review business details, contact information, requested products, quantity, and requirements; adjust required fields and validation for your workflow.
Review the after-approval customer tags and company-creation option. Keep only the settings appropriate to this form and save.
Preview the saved form and submit a test to confirm the collected answers support your review process.
Example
A buyer requests pricing for a large order without collecting payment through the form.
Expected result
The team receives the requested products, quantity, and requirements to prepare a quote separately; no payment is collected.
Limits and important behavior
- Template fields and settings can be customized before publication.
- Customer tags identify applicants but do not automatically grant a price list or catalog.
- Add an Email field or Customer block if the workflow needs applicant emails or email-marketing integrations.
Troubleshooting and verification
If the form collects responses but does not grant wholesale access, inspect the application status and after-approval settings. A template supplies a starting configuration; pricing, catalogs, and access in your other tools still need their own setup.
