How to Use AI Applicant Scoring and Summaries

What you will achieve in this guide

Follow this step-by-step documentation to configure custom B2B registration forms, approval workflows, and customer tagging.

EXPECTED SETUP TIME 5-10 Minutes
COMPATIBILITY All Shopify Themes & Plans
TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY Zero Code Required

Use AI scoring to summarize Shopify wholesale application text while keeping the approval decision under your review.

Before you begin

Find the intended application by form, reference, and applicant email. Read its current status and original answers before changing a decision. Approval can affect customer tags, company records, emails, and connected integrations.

What scoring can and cannot assess

AI scoring produces a score and short summary from the application's text answers. It is off until enabled in Settings and can help a reviewer prioritize or understand a written application.

It does not read uploaded documents, verify a license, or replace your approval criteria. Inspect the underlying answers and evidence before approving. A high score should not automatically override a failed qualification condition.

Set up this workflow

  1. Open the app Settings and enable AI applicant scoring where available.

  2. Open a submission containing the business answers you want to assess.

  3. Run the available scoring action.

  4. Read the score and summary alongside the original text answers.

  5. Inspect supporting documents yourself and apply your own approval criteria.

  6. Record your review and confirm the final decision in the submission detail.

Example

Use a demo application with written purchase plans and a sample certificate. Enable scoring and request its summary.

Expected result

The score and summary are reviewed against text answers; the AI does not inspect the attached certificate or replace your decision.

Limits and important behavior

  • All current app features are included in the Free plan; scoring is off until enabled.
  • AI scoring uses text answers, not uploaded files.
  • A score is assistance, not verification of a business or a substitute for approval policy.

Troubleshooting and verification

If no score is available, check whether scoring is enabled in Settings and whether the application has text answers. Uploaded documents are not read by scoring. Compare the explanation with the original answers and use a person to review document evidence.
