Understanding Storefront Languages and Translation Fallbacks
What you will achieve in this guide
Follow this step-by-step documentation to configure custom B2B registration forms, approval workflows, and customer tagging.
Built-in Rivio registration form text is translated into all 20 supported admin languages, with localized country names and English fallback.
Before you begin
Open the selected form’s Appearance settings for visual changes. Check every page and popup using that form, because the same saved appearance is reused. Keep a copy of existing Custom CSS before changing it.
Built-in translations and your own content
The storefront extension translates built-in buttons, placeholders, step controls, popup text, success text, and errors into the 20 supported admin languages. Country names also follow the shopper's language; a missing built-in translation falls back to English.
This release does not establish automatic translation of your own question labels, help text, or email copy. Write that content for your audience and test the storefront language separately from the admin language.
Example
Open the demo page in a supported storefront language such as French. Inspect built-in buttons, country names, success text, and a required-field error. Review your own field labels separately.
Expected result
Built-in interface text follows the supported locale, missing translations fall back to English, and merchant-written text is checked independently.
Limits and important behavior
- The release translates built-in form text; it does not establish automatic translation of your custom questions or email content.
- The documented languages include English, both Chinese variants, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian Bokmål, Polish, both Portuguese variants, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, and Turkish.
- Language setup for the Shopify storefront is separate from choosing an admin language.
Troubleshooting and verification
If custom question text stays in its original language, review merchant-authored labels and help text separately from built-in translations. Test the actual storefront locale. Built-in text and country names support the documented languages, with English fallback where a translation is missing.
