How to Filter Analytics by Form and Time Range
What you will achieve in this guide
Follow this step-by-step documentation to configure custom B2B registration forms, approval workflows, and customer tagging.
Use the form and time-window filters to compare Shopify registration performance over a defined period.
Before you begin
Select the form and reporting period you want to inspect. Use a known storefront visit and application as a test, and keep visit, submission, approval, and sales counts separate when interpreting results.
Use comparable selections
Choose a specific form and a time range such as 7, 14, or 30 days before reading the figures. A different form or window can explain why Analytics and an inbox search appear to show different totals.
For a comparison, hold the metric definition and window length steady, and note when the form changed. Investigate individual applications in Submissions rather than expecting the aggregate report to replace the application record.
Set up this workflow
Open Analytics.
Select one specific form from the Form filter.
Choose the available time window, such as 7, 14, or 30 days.
Review the funnel, sources, submissions, and review figures for that selection.
Change one filter at a time when comparing periods or forms.
Confirm the report selection before sharing a conclusion with your team.
Example
Create two test forms and inspect each separately for 7 days, then 30 days.
Expected result
Form and date selection are recorded with the result so comparisons do not mix different populations.
Limits and important behavior
- Comparisons need the same metric definitions and comparable periods.
- A changed time range can explain apparently missing applications.
- Use submission details to investigate individual records rather than expecting analytics to be a complete audit log.
Troubleshooting and verification
If figures seem inconsistent, compare the same form and period and confirm that the tested page uses that form’s slug. Tracking can fail without blocking submission, so the inbox and analytics do not have to match exactly.
