Collect the remaining balance on the same order

  2. Confirm the displayed Same order workflow.
  3. Create an eligible deposit option and save your settings.

Screenshot to add: Features → COD verification → Verification → At checkout — show the relevant settings described above. Hide customer details, contact blocklists and verification codes.

Example and use case

A shopper pays a deposit at checkout. Staff use the same order to see what remains to collect on delivery.

Limitations and important behaviour

  • The interface recommends this flow for manual fulfilment.
  • Do not assume a courier or ERP automatically collects or imports the outstanding balance.
  • Do not create a second order to fix a delayed update without first checking support, as it could duplicate the sale.

Test and confirm the result

Confirm the original order remains the working order and the expected balance appears. Escalate an unexplained delay with its order reference.

Save configuration changes before testing. A settings preview confirms presentation; inspect the storefront, checkout or Shopify order for the actual outcome described in this guide.
