The verification or payment popup does not appear

Check the setup and entry-point conditions before changing the theme.

Before you start

Open Home / Features → COD verification in your store. Use the current saved configuration and a controlled test cart. For storefront features, confirm the Rivio theme app embed is enabled on the theme being tested.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Confirm the Rivio app embed is enabled and saved on the published theme.
  2. Check that COD verification is active and settings are saved.
  3. Use the cart Checkout button; Add to cart is not the popup trigger described by the app.
  4. Check Show the popup on Buy Now if you are testing that button.
  5. Review Who sees it and country exceptions.
  6. If only payment choices are missing, inspect active options and cart eligibility rather than reinstalling the embed.

Screenshot to add: Home / Features → COD verification — show the relevant settings described above. Hide customer details, contact blocklists and verification codes.

Example and use case

A popup absent on Buy Now but present on cart Checkout may be consistent with the Buy Now setting being off.

Limitations and important behaviour

  • Theme preview and published theme settings can differ.
  • A skipped Payment step may be the configured no-option fallback rather than a missing popup.
  • Do not paste additional theme scripts to work around the issue before checking the embed.

Test and confirm the result

Record the theme, page, button clicked, test cart and visibility settings. Send support a screen recording if the issue remains.

Save configuration changes before testing. A settings preview confirms presentation; inspect the storefront, checkout or Shopify order for the actual outcome described in this guide.
