A payment option or discount does not appear
Check eligibility and active status before changing the offer calculation.
Before you start
Open Features → COD verification → Payment options in your store. Use the current saved configuration and a controlled test cart. For storefront features, confirm the Rivio theme app embed is enabled on the theme being tested.
Step-by-step instructions
- Confirm the option Status is On and saved.
- Check the minimum and maximum cart values.
- Check the selected products, variants or collections and Match any product setting.
- Review postal-code allow and deny lists.
- Inspect the discount type and numeric value, or the prepaid-discount setting for a full-payment offer.
- Test a simple matching cart with no unrelated promotion, then add other conditions back one at a time.
Screenshot to add: Features → COD verification → Payment options — show the relevant settings described above. Hide customer details, contact blocklists and verification codes.
Example and use case
A mixed cart may fail an option whose product scope requires every item to match, even when one selected product is present.
Limitations and important behaviour
- The no-option fallback can skip the Payment step when its message is blank.
- A custom Price wording field can hide the calculated display without changing what is charged.
- Do not assume all promotion combinations are supported.
Test and confirm the result
Compare a known matching cart and a non-matching cart, recording both popup and checkout amounts.
Save configuration changes before testing. A settings preview confirms presentation; inspect the storefront, checkout or Shopify order for the actual outcome described in this guide.
