How to Draft Registration Forms with Shopify Sidekick
What you will achieve in this guide
Follow this step-by-step documentation to configure custom B2B registration forms, approval workflows, and customer tagging.
Ask Sidekick to draft Shopify wholesale registration questions, then review the generated form in the Rivio builder.
Before you begin
Open the intended Shopify store and identify the form or application you want help with. Include its exact name or reference in your request. Sidekick can draft, find, suggest, and link; you review and save changes in the app.
Give the assistant a useful specification
Describe the buyer audience, the questions needed for qualification, which answers are required, and any preferred field types. A draft can open the builder with proposed fields for your review.
Inspect the email field, wording, required answers, mappings, and approval settings before saving. Do not treat generated questions as legal/business verification or publish a draft without a storefront submission test.
Additional reference
Example Prompts
- Draft a wholesale application with business name, contact email, country, resale certificate, and annual volume.
- Draft a retailer application asking for a store website and sales channels.
- Draft a distributor application collecting served regions and interested product categories.
- Draft a short contact form with name, email, and enquiry.
Replace example form names, companies, and time ranges with values from your own store. These are task examples, not a guarantee that every wording produces the same response.
Set up this workflow
Open Sidekick and identify the app.
Describe the buyer audience and information needed for qualification.
Specify required questions and any optional business details.
Ask for a form draft and open the supplied builder link.
Review field types, email collection, labels, mappings, and approval settings.
Save the reviewed form, preview it, and complete a test submission.
Example
Ask: Draft a retailer application with business name, email, website, and sales channels. Make email required. Open the supplied builder link and review each field.
Expected result
A reviewed draft is saved deliberately in the app and tested before storefront publication.
Limits and important behavior
- Sidekick does not independently save or approve changes; it provides drafts and links for review.
- Responses depend on available app data and the account’s access.
- AI-generated suggestions should be checked against the original fields, records, and your business criteria.
Troubleshooting and verification
If the suggestion concerns the wrong form, repeat the request with its exact name and review the linked app page. If nothing changed, check whether you reviewed and saved the proposed settings; a Sidekick response alone is not a saved change.
